We don't want you to lose your smile when reading the ingredient list of your makeup! So, as a precaution, we have removed ingredients controversial for health and/or the environment to formulate natural and healthy makeup.
If we can formulate without them, why put them in?
Also, so that everyone can use Pomponne natural makeup, we decided to remove ingredients that some "Pomponnettes" might not want to find in their lipstick, due to conviction or intolerance.
Here is the list of ingredients you won't find in our natural makeup:
Paraben-free
Antimicrobial and antifungal preservatives: suspected endocrine disruptors.
Phenoxyethanol-free
Preservative: suspected endocrine disruptor.
Without other controversial health ingredients
Nanoparticles, lauryl sulfate, cyclopentasiloxane, BHT, BPA, triclosan, phthalates, aluminum, benzophenone…: suspected endocrine disruptors, allergens, carcinogens.
Free from mineral oils and synthetic hydrocarbons
Paraffin wax (microcrystalline wax), ozokerite, petroleum jelly (petrolatum): texture softeners, suspected carcinogens.
Silicone-free
Fillers, smoothers: highly polluting (can take up to 500 years to disappear), comedogenic (i.e., promotes the appearance of pimples).
PEG- and PPG-free
Emulsifiers: poorly degradable and therefore very polluting for the planet.
Essential oil free
As they can be allergenic and are not suitable for pregnant women and sensitive skin, we have decided to remove them from our formulas.
Animal-free
Beeswax, carmine, lanolin... We wanted Pomponne natural makeup to also be vegan.
PFAS-free
"Forever chemicals," banned in France since 02/20/25, which we have never used since the creation of our products. They were notably used to make products long-lasting, preserve their pigmentation, or make them water-resistant.
