No, Pomponne makeup-skincare has never contained PFAS, even before the law of 20/02/2025 was passed.

Of course not Pomponnette. As well as being an ethical choice, European regulations forbid it! Some countries outside Europe, such as China, may require animal testing for certain distribution channels, but we refuse to go there.

Pomponne's care lipstick was co-created with make-up artists and conventional lipstick users. They were all Pomponne-ly blown away by the performance of our makeup, which they found just as effective as their synthetic makeup.

At Pomponne, we want our makeup to be 2-in-1, both skincare and makeup. To save time in your beauty routine, but above all to consume less but better. We wanted our natural lipstick to have the nourishing, anti-chapping effectiveness of the best lip balms. That's why we added patented, clinically tested actives that you can find in some quality lip care products.

We didn't want to be certified organic because the only way to get a beautiful, punchy red organic lipstick is to use carmine pigment. And this pigment is obtained by crushing cochineals (female insects). So we'd rather leave the insects alone and go for a "SAINthetic" and vegan red pigment. Plus, to be honest, these certifications come at a cost, and as a young brand we preferred to invest that money in research and development, clinical testing, quality actives... Some of our ingredients are organic, but not all of them. On the other hand, our formulas are natural, with between 95 and 100% ingredients of natural origin.

Yes Pomponnette! We chose to formulate without any ingredients of animal origin, so for example they are formulated without beeswax and without carmine pigment from cochineals.

Out of the question, we leave the little cochineals alone and opt for a red SAINthetic pigment for a color worthy of a Cannes Film Festival red carpet ;)

No, no Pomponne product contains essential oils. We want everyone to be able to get Pomponned :) There are none in our vintage fragrance either, which is 100% natural.

Our fragrance is 100% natural and was custom-developed by a perfumer! We wanted a vintage fragrance that takes us back to our childhood, so we called on an expert to recreate the scent of our mothers' or grandmothers' lipsticks. Nostalgic smile 100% guaranteed!

Made in France is close to our hearts. Our natural products are developed and formulated with a smile in Brittany, and manufacturing and packaging take place in the Eure, 173 km from our warehouse (that's 1h50 of transport), which helps reduce our carbon footprint :)

All our packs are 100% recyclable :)
The lipstick pack is 100% PP. We chose a single-material pack and PP to make recycling easier at sorting centers.
The mascara pack is made of plant-based plastic.
Also, our packs don't come from China but from Italy, to limit our carbon footprint. We were offered eco-responsible packs at very attractive prices but coming from Asia...so not logical!

If you haven't opened your tube, you can keep it for 3 years. Once opened, the PAO (=period after opening) is 12 months. But we hope you'll have finished them before then, you'll love them so much ;)

We don't use titanium dioxide in its nanoparticle form, which is suspected of being an endocrine disruptor. You'll only find it in certain shades of our lipstick in NON-NANO form, because it is currently the white natural pigment that provides the most coverage. For the shades Orange Sixties, Grenat, Rouge coquelicot, Prune, Rouge couture, Fuchsia & Rouge cerise, we even managed to formulate WITHOUT titanium dioxide.

We want to pamper the planet too, so we avoid trial sizes. If you want to see how a color looks, you can go to the "Lookbook" section and see the lipstick worn on a phototype close to yours, to see how it looks with your hair color, skin tone or even your eye color. At Pomponne, lipstick is a potion that makes kisses (a little!) visible. We preferred that to adding silicone, a not very eco-friendly ingredient, to make it 100% transfer-proof. So you might see the mark of your smile on your glass (or on the cheek you kiss!). To limit transfer, we recommend waiting 15 minutes after Pomponning your lips before drinking. That gives our lipstick time to dry. PS: maybe an effective natural anti-transfer solution will exist one day!

Our Pomponne makeup contains no controversial ingredients. When we have a doubt about an active, we remove it. Why formulate with it if we can do without? We formulate with a strict never list of ingredients that excludes all allergens and all ingredients that are controversial for health but also for the environment. You'll never find silicones, parabens, phenoxyethanol, nanoparticles, aluminum... in our formulas. If you want to see our never list in detail, it's this way...
