How to apply blush? The simple method for a natural effect

The Fantastick Lip & Cheek Balm is an ultra-practical makeup product!

It's a 2-in-1 multi-purpose stick, that applies not only to the cheeks, but also to the lips, and is suitable for all skin types.

It's a tinted and moisturizing stick that can be used both as a cream blush and a tinted lip balm for a glowing complexion.

We're sharing some makeup tips for a perfect blush application!

Blush Application Tutorial

First, moisturize your skin well and apply your usual complexion product, like foundation or BB cream.

1️⃣ Choose the right shade from the 3 available shades in our blush range: Le RoseL’Orangé or Hibiscus (the preferred shade for a natural blush.)

2️⃣ Smile to clearly define your cheekbones, the area where blush is applied

3️⃣ Apply the stick blush directly by drawing a small line

4️⃣ Blend the cream blush product with small movements of your fingertips or with a brush, depending on the desired finish (guaranteed creamy texture!)

5️⃣ Apply it to your lips as a lip balm: this is the little extra compared to a classic blush!

Sun-kissed effect tip: add a touch of blush to the bridge of your nose.

Adjustable Blush Intensity

Thanks to the creamy texture of this blush, the intensity of the blush shade is easily adjustable with your finger or a brush (unlike a powder blush).

Whether you want a subtle blush or a more noticeable result, this blush will satisfy your desires; it's up to you to adapt it to your expectations: it's the perfect blush!

Which blush color should you choose based on your skin tone?

To help you choose the shade best suited to your complexion, regardless of the type of blush, you need to know your undertone. To do this, you choose your blush based on the color of the veins on your wrist:

  • If they are bluish-purple = cool undertone, you need a pink blush
  • If they are greenish = warm undertone, you need an orange blush
  • If they are both colors or you have trouble determining = neutral undertone, you need a pink-orange blush, like the Hibiscus blush.

This is a little trick to help you choose among the different blush colors :)

Otherwise, the often-heard shortcut is that fair skin tones (often cool undertones) will gravitate towards a pink blush, while darker skin tones (often warm undertones) will choose an orange blush.

Why a stick blush rather than a liquid blush or a powder blush?

Our Fantasticks are among our best sellers, and here's why it's the perfect stick blush:

Our stick blush collection allows for ultra-easy application, without the need for a brush, and is very easy to work with your finger for a touch of color: no need to be a makeup expert!

Unlike a liquid blush that tends to set quickly and is difficult to work with, or a powder blush that leaves marks and a heavy feel. The creamy texture of the stick blush blends naturally with the skin texture or foundation for an ultra-natural finish.

This creamy texture, especially in Pomponne blush, provides a nourishing action for skin that isn't dried out, unlike a powder blush, and hydrated lips.

Its advantage over a classic blush is the ability to apply it to the lips, which is not possible with a powder blush.

Essentials to enhance and intensify the blush effect

We know that a touch of blush changes everything, but the makeup routine for an assured healthy glow makeup in addition to your blush, is to complete with the other products from the Fantastick range:

  • The Bronzer, which is the equivalent of a bronzing powder but in stick version! An excellent way to get a sun-kissed complexion without UV exposure.
  • The Highlighter, with small touches, which illuminates the face in an instant.

These products are suitable for all skin types (oily and combination skin too, as their texture is not sticky at all) and are very easy to work with your finger, blending the product with small circular movements.

This stick trio provides a beautiful complexion base, which can be completed, or not, with eye makeup: soft with a black or brown mascara, or more vibrant by opting for an electric blue mascara for example :)
