Hello Pomponnette,
If you're here, it's because you want to know more about the shea butter extract in our moisturizing lipstick. For you, we didn't just pick any shea butter, we selected the cream of the crop – or rather, the butter of the butter –.
We're offering you a "date" with our shea butter extract; don't worry, we'll ask the questions!
What's your name, shea butter?
Butyrospermum parkii, but you can call me "Women's Gold," that's what they call me – warning Pomponnette, it sounds like he's hitting on you –...
Your favorite body part?
The nut, it's thanks to it that I can make my butter and soften your lips.
Where are you from?
I, Shea, am a tree that grows in Africa, from Senegal to Uganda. I reach my peak at 15-20 years old, and then I start producing nuts for 200 to 300 years. So don't worry, if you ever snag a nut from me, I have plenty in reserve :) And you should know that my butter, selected by Agathe & Charline for Pomponne, was made in France.
What's your purpose in life?
My only desire is to take care of you, and especially your lips. You'll see, I'll make you want to smile every day :)

How do you plan to do it?
In my butter, the active fraction is shea unsaponifiable, rich in cinnamic acid esters and phytosterols which play an essential role in the softness and suppleness of your skin. That's why Agathe and Charline included it in their Pomponne moisturizing lipstick, to repair and hydrate your lips.
Prove to us that you are an effective shea butter!
No worries, you know, I've passed quite a few clinical tests to get here.
Alright, I'll give you all my results and explain what the clinical laboratory did:
45 female volunteers, average age 46, with chapped and inflamed lips, applied a balm containing me at least twice a day for 2 weeks. The study was even conducted in winter, when it's very cold and lips are at their worst...
Here are my results – beware Pomponnette, he might make your mouth water –:
→ Chapped lips eliminated after just 2 days

→ Improved hydration and restored barrier function after 2 days
Epidermal hydration …… +28%, vs T0 up to +103%
Water loss from the skin barrier…… -21%,vs T0 up to -56%
How did you get there?
Hold on tight, if I'm here, it's thanks to some amazing scientists! They managed to extract me using the supercritical CO2 technique from a 100% natural, certified organic shea butter.
Okay, I can see I'm losing you with my supercritical CO2. Actually, it's the CO2 from the air which, when compressed, becomes liquid. During extraction, it carries along the lipophilic molecules – which love fatty substances – of the shea butter without ever transforming them. In the end, the CO2 is fully recovered and can be recycled; it leaves no residue in the products thus prepared because it is inert. This process has the advantage of remaining natural and has no environmental impact because it is solvent-free!
Basically, they extracted the best of shea butter via an eco-responsible technique to bring me to life!
But ultimately, what do you have that other shea butters don't?
Actually, I'm sort of a gifted one – no no, he's not bragging, it's truly Pomponne –, I have a 3 times higher content of unsaponifiables than classic shea butter. To give you concrete examples, classic shea butter contains between 3.5% and 9% unsaponifiables, while my extract contains over 18%. Yeah, I can feel it, you're speechless...

Time's over Pomponnette, it's the end of the speed dating!
So, do you want to meet him in Pomponne moisturizing lipsticks?
If you have any other questions for him, don't hesitate to ask them in the comments ;) - but we're keeping his cell number to ourselves - !
Let's spread the Smile Power,
Agathe & Charline
