Un sourire d'enfer avec une bonne hygiène bucco-dentaire

Hello Pomponnette,

While lipstick is our smile's best friend, the very foundation of a radiant smile is good oral hygiene. So if you've ever been scared by a dentist talking about gingivitis or periodontitis, and you want to revisit good oral habits, this article is for you ;)

We've called upon NEOPULSE dental, a young company that has taken on the challenge of raising awareness among as many people as possible about the importance of a good oral hygiene routine, and educating as many people as possible about interdental cleaning (cleaning between teeth) by popularizing the water flosser!

What is a NEOPULSE water flosser for?

So, what is good oral hygiene?

Let's hand over to Neopulse for the rest of this article!

1) Brush your teeth at least twice a day for 2 to 3 minutes.

First of all, choosing your toothbrush is essential! Choose a toothbrush with soft or very soft bristles, so that it doesn't damage your gums or your tooth enamel, but only fulfills its primary role: removing dental plaque.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day, for 2 to 3 minutes, and wait 30 minutes after each meal. Why wait? Because brushing immediately after eating acidic and/or sugary foods would worsen the erosion of your tooth enamel.

Our extra health tip:

In the morning, brush your teeth when you wake up on an empty stomach. Every night, we accumulate bacterial plaque in our mouth. Having breakfast immediately after waking up would mean swallowing these bacteria (yum, yum), whereas it would be much better for our health to have removed them first!

For those who can't have breakfast with a toothpaste taste, remember to wait about 30 minutes before brushing.

2) Clean between your teeth with a NEOPULSE water flosser.

Did you know? A tooth doesn't have 3 sides, but 5!

Cleaning between your teeth, interdental cleaning, is therefore essential to clean spaces inaccessible to your toothbrush. Indeed, properly performed tooth brushing removes 60% of bacteria, whereas if you don't clean between your teeth, 40% of bacteria remain stuck – gross! It's therefore important for your hygiene and overall health to also clean between your teeth.

To do this, there are 3 interdental tools to complement brushing: dental floss, interdental brushes, and the oral irrigator, better known as a water flosser, which propels water between your teeth with a certain pressure to remove food debris and dental plaque stuck in areas inaccessible to the toothbrush. Choosing the right instrument is very important because only consistency pays off!

Easy to use, the water flosser is ideal for those who are not comfortable with using floss or brushes. Also beneficial for those who need optimal hygiene (pregnant women, diabetics…), the oral irrigator can also be used in addition to other tools.

Usable by the whole family, from the age of 8, NEOPULSE oral irrigators are also beneficial for people wearing orthodontic appliances and implants.

Our extra health tip:

If you don't have time to wait 30 minutes before brushing your teeth, it's better to brush your teeth before the meal and then rinse your mouth with a NEOPULSE water flosser to dislodge any food particles stuck.

The 2 NEOPULSE water flossers are compact and easily transportable in their carrying case.

3) Don't forget your tongue!

A large number of bacteria are deposited on the tongue every day; it becomes "coated." It is therefore also recommended to clean it daily to contribute to the proper functioning of the body but also to improve your breath, all gently to preserve your taste buds.

A tongue scraper nozzle is provided with each NEOPULSE water flosser and will give you an extra feeling of intense freshness!

4) And most importantly, don't miss your annual check-up at your dental office.

Did you know? Only professional descaling at a dental office can remove bacterial dental plaque (tartar), and doing it once a year reduces the risk of a vascular accident by 25% and stroke by 13%.

By applying this oral hygiene routine, you will regain control of your oral health and, at the same time, enhance your Pomponne's smile!

We were delighted to chat with you, Pomponnettes,

The Neopulse Team ;)
