You and lipstick application are two separate things? Okay, we have an amazing trick - thank you Carine Larchet, professional makeup artist, for sharing your secrets with us - to make them one - and to make sure you don't look like this -:

We promise this tutorial to apply your lipstick like a pro will leave you speechless - okay, easy pun - without needing a lip liner or a lip brush... Great, right? Yeah, that's what we thought too!

 

Step 1: Hold your lipstick upside down

No, we're not asking you to apply your lipstick while doing a headstand - even if we loooove yoga, this is a different kind of inversion -. See your bullet? - not the one in your fruit basket, but the one in your lipstick, that's what the lipstick stick is called! - well, you hold it the way you would naturally - normal, right - and you turn it upside down: lipstick tip towards the lips.

 

 

And there you go: the tip of your lipstick will help you be super precise for step 2 :) - suspense, suspense -

Step 2: Outline your mouth with the lipstick tip

Now, use this tip like a lip liner to trace the outline of your lips in this order:

The cupid's bow of the upper lip

The curve of the lower lip

The rest of the mouth's contour

Connect the corners to the center, from outside to inside - doing the corners badly: it's messy, not doing them: it's not chic! - There, you have the contour of your lips perfectly drawn :)

To avoid trembling and make the lip contour as clean as possible, support your chin with your little finger and hold your lipstick with the rest of your fingers, as if you were making a compass with a beautiful arc - you see what I mean? Geometry takes on a whole new dimension right now! -

Step 3: Color your lips

Now, back to kindergarten: time for coloring!

Flip the lipstick bullet back - back to normal -, and color to your heart's content - well, without going outside the lines, we're trying to do better than in kindergarten, Pomponnette! -

Fill the inside of the lips with the lipstick bullet right side up :)

Step 4: Finger trick

Have you ever had that friend - or rather, a very good friend for pointing it out to you! - who told you: "you have lipstick all over your teeth, it's a nightmare!"

To avoid this, you need your index finger... Put it in your mouth and pull it out with a quick jerk - well, okay, it's not a very chic gesture, but it's quick, and when you're alone in front of the mirror, it's fine -
